Once you become a part of the team, you will get an invite to Deputy, it's the software we are using to schedule shooters for the weddings we have. It works on a first come first serve basis. However, the higher the rank you are, the earlier you will get access to work.

Getting shifts

What You’ll Do

1. You will receive an invitation to install DEPUTY app on your phone.

2. After you install the app and login you will have this view of the HOME page.

This is where you will be able to claim new shifts under “Available Shifts” “All upcoming shifts” will show you all the upcoming available weddings.

3. Under Available Shifts you will find open shifts available to your ranking.

If you tap on one of the available shifts you will get a detailed view of the job.

Area represents the name of the wedding, all jobs names start with either SC(southern CA), NC(north CA) or various other locations like Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, etc. On the bottom of your shift page you can claim the shift, always pay attention to the notes and shift address to make sure they work for you.

4. Going back to the HOME page if you scroll lower you will notice the “Time off” section. You have the option to add your unavailability, that way you will not receive notifications of new jobs available on the dates you are unavailable. Also, you can request a leave from one of your booked jobs through the “Leave” section.

5. One of the most important Tab is “News Feed”, this is where you will receive your call sheets typically a week before the wedding. You have the obligation to confirm that you received your call sheet by clicking on it and confirming. Follow the instructions in your call sheet.

6. In the Schedule tab you can see a calendar view of your weddings. It is not that practical, the best view of your shifts is on HOME page under “All upcoming shifts” We publish new shifts every Wednesday morning and sometimes through out the week based on the bookings. You will receive notifications on your phone for new available shifts and I suggest jumping on them ASAP since they are first come first served.

!!!Quick tip- if you use iCloud with your iPhone in the upper right corner of your “Upcoming Shifts” section you will see a calendar sign, if you click on it you can sync all your weddings with your calendar. Even if you don’t have an iPhone you can still get an iCloud e-mail just to have all your weddings in your calendar, it is very useful tool!

7. Under the “Timesheets” tab you will have a history of all the jobs you worked with the numbers of hours worked.
